I’ve been on a thrifting hiatus lately because… money. And also space. But I hit a flea market this past weekend just in time to guest host Thrift Score Thursday this week and I’m pretty much drooling over everything in the #thriftscorethursday feed. I keep getting distracted by Craigslist trying to find the same goods here in ATL.
This past weekend, Hubs and I drove out Dawsonville after seeing an ad on Craiglist for a bunch of American Seating stacking chairs (for 8 bucks each!) but when we got there and put our butts on them, we decided they were too short for our dining room table. This pic is from another CL ad – all four for $125 – Sure makes $8 bucks each sound like a sweet deal!
It took us an hour to get there and it felt wrong to leave empty handed. I spotted these little dudes on the way out, though.
I touched all over them, put them down, walked away, went to the bathroom and was still thinking about them so I knew I had to go back and get ’em. I’m thinking they will be bedside lights but haven’t decided on how to hang them just yet.
Ready for the features?!
Katie from Red House West (@redhousewest) snagged this solid brass candelabra for 3 bucks. THREE BUCKS. Stop it. This literally makes my mouth water.
Lindsey (@lindseymadsendesign) scooped up this delicious MCM chair at her local thrift store. You know it’s good when a mid-century dealer offers you cash on IG for it. Don’t sell it, Linds. Also, I vote leather for the new upholstery. So tasty.
Next up, in the “Shut The Front Door” category, is @louloumint_etsy.
She picked up this glorious gold, velvety, tufted love seat for “less than the price of two double cheeseburgers, large fry and a coke”. Shut the front door! I’d eat all that stuff and then pass out on this beauty. Sweet, sweet score, muh-dear. Also, please note the gorgeous blush pink chair to the right. Mustard and pink play so well together.
Colleen (@58waterstreet) picked up this pimpin’ belt buckle that I now need in my life….
Anna (@annabode) snagged the fireplace screen, the chair and, wait for it…. this 14ft fig. Wha-huh?! Also, you’ll wanna check out her feed because her kitchen? Nuts. I love it.
Okay, so I picked a ton of features, my bad. I couldn’t help it the #thriftscorethursday feed is soooooo good.
Be sure to check out allllll the delicious thrifted finds this week from Thrift Score Thursday’s regular hosts:
Trisha is sitting this one out but she’s got loads of past thrift scores to sort though and you should def check ’em out.
Boom!
If you wanna play along next week, check out any of the above hosts for the full deets.
I stumbled upon your site and love it and THEN I noticed your name is Dena, too! And you spell it the right way! I’ve never seen another Dena who spells it the same as I do. 🙂
Dena! Gosh, just saying your name sounds so beautiful… You know what’s crazy? My aunt’s name is Dena (I think I might have been named after her) AND my mother-in-law’s name is also Dena. They both spell it the right way… but they also both go by their middle names. Nice to “meet” you!
Well, this isn’t about your thrift store finds, but I had to tell you, I Love the hair!
SOMEONE NOTICED! And you know what?! Those are from day 2!!! Thank you, Nay Nay! Love you!
Those lights! They’re so pretty. I would have to scoop them up, too. They’re perfect. Thank you for joining us today!
Thank you for having me, Corinna!
Woohoo! Love those lamps girl! That’s too bad about those chairs – they’re pretty delish, but I totally understand the height issue. Too short chairs are a pain! So glad those fab lamps kept your trip from being wasted!
Thanks!!! Any ideas on how to hang without hard wiring?!
Thanks lady for the feature! This was my best thrift yet. And I think I may have even got it for less than what I said! Probably more like ONE double cheeseburgers, SMALL fry, and a coke! Crazy how in your little hometown what you consider gold is someone else’s gag me with a spoon!
You’re making me hungry! I love, love, love that little couch! And it looks so perfect with that rug and the blushy pink chair. Great score!
so many great features and we share a couple! i LOVE that owl buckle, too- so fun and unique! and i am in love with your light fixtures… swoon!
Well, I think we have great taste. 🙂 Thank you, Cassie!
