So far, living in Georgia has been super dreamy. Two days from now will not only be my birthday (which means my semi-annual trip for highlights – my hair looks like Karl’s from Workaholics) but will also be the one year anniversary of moving into our Georgia home. There are so many fun things to do around here, the fall weather is gorgeous and there’s definitely not a shortage of flea markets and craft fairs, which I totally love. The Country Living Fair is coming up soon and Explore Gwinnett has offered to give away two tickets to a couple of readers! It’s at Stone Mountain Park (which is so super fun, btw. Three story ropes course? Yes, please!) It’s October 24-26 and I am so excited to be giving away a couple of tickets. But first…
One last little Dwell with Dignity project to share… A chair makeover!
Here they are in the space before:
…chillin in the driveway…
The chairs were both sanded with 220 grit sandpaper, primed with Zinsser 1-2-3 spray and then painted with Rustoleum’s High Gloss White. I used heavy weight upholstery fabric and did this set the same way I did these chairs. For details & tutorial on the upholstery, you can check out my post on DIY Upholstery Tips and Tricks.
They went back to their newly designed apartment and now live in two separate rooms. Here’s one of them in the master bedroom. Erin from DIY On The Cheap did the navy desk in the corner, check out the before pics!
And here’s the other guy in the living room:
If double welt piping scares the britches off ya, you can check out my post on how to get near perfect, semi-pro piping here.
Boom! Whaddya think? Isn’t it amazing what a little paint and fabric can do?!
You know where you might find a little treasure to makeover?
